I specialise in directing, producing, and editing commissioned documentary portraits for various clients. My experience includes creating films about technology, the environment, museums, dance art, and theatre, with a particular focus on postcolonial issues. I have extensive experience filming globally, including in countries such as Indonesia, Chile, and Iceland.
In 2022, I was honoured with the "Groene Reiger," a prestigious national award for the best commissioned film, for my documentary portrait produced for TU Delft
Typically, I work with a three-person team (Director, Camera, Sound). I also work independently handling all aspects for smaller productions. For this purpose, I own a SONY FX6 Cinema Camera set, a Panasonic GH5 set for smaller productions, as well as lighting and sound equipment. Additionally, I am available for hire as a director, first assistant director (opnameleider), screenwriter, and interviewer for larger productions.

Pioneers in the green energy transition (2021)
Three documentary portraits of 10 minutes / Three man Team / Client: TU Delft.
I made three 10 minute documentaries for the opening of the ESP lab in Delft, featuring three frontrunners on the sustianable energy transition. The films got screened for the State Secretary of energy. The portrait of Miro Zeman won the "Groene Reiger" for best commissioned film during "de Avond van de Opdrachtfilm."
In Search Of First Light (2019)
15 minute documentary / One-man Team / Client: TU Delft.
A commissioned Documentary I recorded in Chile and the Netherlands for the TU Delft about a mission of Dutch and Japanese scientists to search the first light in the universe.
Astronomers looking to find out more about the early beginnings of our universe need to measure infrared light which has taken between 2 and 10 billion years to reach earth. Sensitive instruments are required for this. In October 2017, Dutch and Japanese researchers, led by Akira Endo (Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands), mounted the special chip on the Japanese ASTE telescope in North Chile. The core of the instrument is a chip the size of two euro coins that measures 49 tones of far infrared light. In the summer of 2019, it was announced in Nature Astronomy that the DESHIMA instrument of Dutch-Japanese origin had passed its first practical tests. The research is explained in the film 'In Search of First Light'.
Video branding for Bijbels Museum: Tijd en Eeuwigheid (2021)
Video Identity / One man Team / Seven video's around a travelling exhibition
For the Bijbels Museum, I was asked to create a series of short video's around their exhibition "Tijd en Eeuwigheid." I decided to focus on the craft of the artists, the materials and the monumental locations. Also we did a series of interviews with some of the most well renowned poets in the Netherlands in a green screen studio.
These video's were used as the main source of promotion for the exhibition. I worked as a one man team doing all the camera, audio, lighting and editing myself.
